Municipal Court is held every Wednesday at 8:00 AM with Judge Daniel C. Cooper at the City Hall Complex, 515 West Main Street, Bridgeport, WV 26330.
Citation payments are accepted by mail, in person and via phone using debit/credit card. The City now offers online payments. Please click here to pay a citation. Accident reports are available for a $25.00 fee. Reports may be requested via mail, phone or in person.
Fingerprinting is done every Wednesday from 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM with proper identification.

How can I pay a citation?

The amount of a citation is not written on the citation when you receive it. You must call the front office of the Police Department at 304-842-8260 to obtain the fee of each citation.
To pay your citation you may stop by or mail in your payment to 515 W. Main Street, Bridgeport WV 26330, or pay over the phone with a credit card. Each credit card transaction does have a transaction fee.

How do I file a police report?

To file a police report after the time of the incident, please come to the Police Department at 515 W. Main Street, Bridgeport WV 26330.

When is Urban Deer Hunt and where can I register?

Urban Deer Hunt starts in September and runs through December. All forms can be picked up at the Bridgeport Police Department Monday-Friday from 8 a.m.-4 p.m. starting mid-July. For more information, please contact Sgt. C.S. Carpenter at 304-842-8260 ext. 117.

To provide information for a crime that occurred in the past you can contact the Police Department at 304-842-8260, and you will be directed to the officer handling the case.

How long does it take for evidence to be analyzed?

Analysis time varies for each case.

Somebody just tried to scam me through the telephone/internet/mail etc. What can I do?
|
Many crimes that occur over the internet are outside of the local police jurisdictions. Many of those crimes are referred to a federal agency. Please contact the Police Department at 304-842-8260, and they can direct you.

Do I (or someone I know) have a warrant?
|
The Bridgeport Police Department does not provide warrant information over the phone or to other individuals. If you believe you have a warrant, please appear to the Police Department at 515 W. Main Street, Bridgeport, WV 26330, and show you’re ID.

Can I get fingerprints for employment?
|
Yes, the Bridgeport Police Department offers a fingerprint service on Wednesdays for 8:00 a.m – 3:00 p.m. There is a fee of $10.00 if you are nonresidents or if the business is outside city limits. Please provide your ID when coming to get fingerprinted.
