MAIN STREET SIDEWALK CLEANING AND SEALING 2026
CITY OF BRIDGEPORT, WEST VIRGINIA
Sealed bids will be received by the City of Bridgeport, West Virginia, at the office of the City Engineer, until10:00 A.M., EDT, Monday, May 1, 2026 for cleaning of approximately 59,800 SF concrete sidewalks and sealing of approximately 8,800 +/- SF of decorative stamped concrete sidewalks.

Printed copies of the plans and specifications will be open to public inspection or may be secured at the 515 West Main St., Bridgeport, WV for a non-refundable fee of $25.00.
A non-mandatory Pre-Bid Meeting will be held at Bridgeport City Hall Council Chambers, 515 West Main St., Bridgeport, WV at 10:00 A.M., EDT, Monday, April 13, 2026.
All proposals will be publicly opened and read aloud in the Council Chambers, at the Bridgeport City Hall, 515 West Main St., Bridgeport, WV at 10:00 A.M., EDT, Friday, May 1, 2026.
Each bidder must tender with their proposal a certified check or bid bond, payable to the City of Bridgeport, West Virginia in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of their total proposal; WV license certificate; signed addendum confirmations; and the pre-qualification eligibility certificate. Bid security will be returned to unsuccessful bidders ten (10) days following opening of bid. The Bid Security of the successful bidder will be retained until execution of the surety bond for performance of contract. If the successful bidder is not able to furnish surety bond within ten (10) days following award of contract, this Bid Security will be forfeited to the City of Bridgeport, West Virginia.
Contractors will be required to comply with all applicable Equal Employment Opportunity laws and
regulations. The final Notice of Award of Contract shall be given to the successful bidder within thirty (30) days following the opening of bids and no bidder may withdraw his bid within thirty (30) days after opening thereof. Bidders should carefully examine the project specifications and other documents and fully inform themselves as to all conditions and matters which can in any way affect the work or the cost thereof.
The City of Bridgeport, West Virginia, reserves the right to reject any or all proposals and to waive technical errors if, in the Owner’s judgement, the best interests of the Owner will thereby be promoted.
The City of Bridgeport will afford full opportunity to disadvantaged business enterprises to submit a show of interest in response to this invitation and will not discriminate against any interested firm or individual on the grounds of race, creed, color, sex, age, handicap, or national origin in the contract award.
